Learning How To Become A Florist
I have always been someone who has loved everything to do with flowers, gardening, floral arranging and more. Not only do I love to arrange cut flowers, but I am also very interested in the ability to create great arrangements that last for a long period of time.
Years ago, I used to work part time on a temporary basis in a local florist shop and I really loved learning all that I could about the business, taking orders, wiring orders to different areas in the country and pricing out wholesale flowers to sell to clients. Now, I am thinking about getting involved to become a florist.
Are there classes that someone can take for floral arranging, or is it best to get in with a good florist in my local area that will be able to take me on as somewhat of an intern? I just want to be able to learn from some of the best so that maybe I could think about starting my own florist business in the near future.
Any information that I could gather on how to become a florist would be very well received and I will take all of the tips and advice into consideration.
